Trisha Thapar, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner & Director
Trisha is a speech-language pathologist and owner of Adventures in Communication. She received her Master’s and Post-Baccalaureate from Chapman University, and her Bachelor’s in Creative Writing from CSU Long Beach.
Trisha started her private practice fueled by a desire to provide fun and effective speech therapy in a specialized setting. She wanted Adventures in Communication to be staffed with a small, passionate team focused on their area of expertise. Speech pathology is a vast field serving needs across the age spectrum, and it is near impossible for any clinician to be truly passionate about and good at everything! Therefore, at Adventures in Communication, we focus on our passion – Early Childhood Language, Articulation, and Stuttering. Our team is constantly learning and evolving with new research, and keeping our speech therapy current and evidenced-based. Trisha’s passion is working with young children who stutter to not only improve their fluency, but also help them develop a positive self-concept. In addition to being a successful speech-language pathologist, she regularly supervises graduate students, guest lectures at graduate speech pathology programs, contributes to research and publications in the areas of stuttering and language development, and presently serves as CSHA‘s District 6 Director.
Though she has lived in California for most of her life, Trisha was born in India and spent most of her childhood in Singapore. She is proficient in written and spoken Hindi. In her free time, Trisha can be found chasing her three precocious children or indulging in her husband’s latest cooking adventure.
